Niijima Village Museum
A museum located a seven-minute walk from the Niijima Juumin Center on the east side of Niijima Island. The museum can be identified by its white, pyramidal top, which is even visible from airplanes and ships at sea. In addition to presenting the history and culture of Niijima Island, the museum displays items donated by village residents. There's also a diorama depicting bouke-ami pole net fishing, which was invented by someone from Niijima Island. In addition, the museum has information on sightseeing destinations on the island, making this a good first stop when visiting Niijima Island.
