Yamatake
Located in Kurokawa Onsen, this Japanese yam cuisine restaurant boasts an irori sunken hearth and a soothing atmosphere. The restaurant serves traditional Minamioguni Town cuisine which leverages the innate flavors of the ingredients used, such as dagojiru soup with dumplings made from grated Japanese yam; and chicken soup, a dish usually eaten on special occasions. All of the restaurant's Japanese yam and rice were diligently grown by the owner. The restaurant takes tastes which convey the history and culture of this rural area and brings them into the present while also passing them on to the future.
