Tera Shonyudo Park
Tera Shonyudo Park is located in Nishi, Aguni Village, Shimajiri County. Walking trails have been laid out in an area centered on a limestone cavern. Unsui Osho, chief priest of a temple in Naha, was banished to Aguni some 200 years ago, and he sat in a cave now called Tera Cave, reciting sutras continuously until he died. Islanders now revere this cave as a sacred site.
