Maipari Miyakojima Island Tropical Fruit Park

This orchard is located about a 15-minute drive from Miyako Airport or about a six-minute walk from Yonaha Maehama Port. The orchard features fields of tropical fruit trees and plants including bananas, pineapples, and coconuts, allowing visitors to experience a tropical atmosphere. It also offers horseback riding on Miyako horses, a Natural Monument of the prefecture. The orchard also offers tropical guided tours in which participants are driven around the grounds in a golf cart by a staff member. The trip takes about 25 minutes. Juice, ice cream, and other items made with fresh fruit are sold at the orchard's cafe.

カートに乗って説明を聞きながら見学するので雨の日でも大丈夫です。宮古島の植物の説明を聞きました。途中で宮古島の固有種の馬が6頭飼育されているところでカートを降りて草をあげることができました。馬の力がとても強く一瞬で草を引っ張られてしまいました。小柄でも力の強い馬だそうで上皇様が幼少時に乗っていらしたそうです。見学が終わりカフェでドラゴンフルーツ&バナナのジュースを飲みました。とてもお...
