Hinase Islands Mikan Picking (Kakui Island, Kashira Island, and Ko Island)
Come experience mikan orange picking in eight orchards across three islands of the Hinase archipelago in the Seto Inland Sea, Kakuijima Island, Kashirajima Island, and Koujima Island. They offer two different options, the Seto Inland Cruise in which you travel via ship and the Easy Mikan Picking Course where you travel between orchards in your own vehicle. The cruise only operates on Sundays and holidays and uses a private ship just for those on the orange picking tour. Either option will take you to beautiful locales and from mid-October to early December you can enjoy the scenery and the taste of Hinase mikan oranges carefully grown with organic fertilizers.
