Hinoki Herbal Dyeing and Weaving Gallery
This dyeing workshop and gallery is about a 10-minute walk from JR Chugoku-Katsuyama Station. The workshop is at the back of the shop, and the noren curtains used in the Katsuyama Townscape Preservation District are made here. The gallery is housed in a remodeled sake brewery building that's about 250 years old, and it displays and sells plant-dyed coasters, tenugui towels, handkerchiefs, and more, as well as taking orders for custom noren curtains and tapestries.
