Nakaura Honpo (Shamine Matsue Store)

"This souvenir shop is located inside Shamine Matsue, a commercial facility directly connected to Matsue Station. The shop sells many San'in regional specialties, including the San'in confectionery Dojo Sukui Manju that have comical faces. Created in 1967, the Dojo Sukui Manju are gentle-tasting manju buns made to resemble masks from the ""Dojo Sukui Dance"" and blue polka-dot patterned tenugui (hand towels). In addition to white bean paste characterized by its slight sweetness, there is a rich variety of items such as matcha bean paste, chocolate bean paste and strawberry bean paste. Their shijimi clams that use clams from Lake Shinji and dried flying fish characterized by a crisp and sweet taste are also popular items."
