A long-standing Japanese sweet shop founded in 1885 that makes confections. They manufacture and sell a variety of Japanese and Western sweets with a focus on Genji-maki, a Tsuwano local favorite. Moist and lightly sweet, they consist of koshi-an bean paste rolled in a thin sponge cake. The sweet received the highest prize at the 23rd National Confectionery Exposition. Genji-soshi-easy to eat individually wrapped slices of Genji-maki-make the perfect Tsuwano gift. Other popular items include Kuri Gomon, sponge cake with a filling of sweet-simmered chestnuts and bean paste, as well as the subtly sweet confection Tsuwano Uiro (sweet rice jelly).

津和野の和菓子で有名な源氏巻きを扱う店が10件位あるようで、店構えを見て入店。試食を頂き餡の味が甘過ぎず美味しかったので購入。10日間日持ちするとのこと。

津和野の代表的な銘菓「源氏巻」の老舗です。お店では試食やお茶のおもてなしを受け、食べやすい大きさにカットされ、個包装にしたものを食べ歩き用に購入しました。程よい甘さと、しっとりとした食感でとても美味しく、旅行の帰路では新山口駅の名店街で「一口源氏巻」を見つけ、土産に購入しました。ちなみに、当店の源氏巻は全国菓子大博覧会において、最高位の「名誉総裁賞」を受賞されたそうです。
