This ceramics shop and studio is situated amidst Kurayoshi's Shirakabe Storehouses (White Wall District), which has been designated the Kurayoshi City Utsubukitamagawa Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The shop is outfitted with an electric kiln and offers a fun and easy pottery making activity for visitors. The shop's pottery, dubbed Utsubuki ware, uses a glaze which can only be obtained in the Kurayoshi region. Inside a renovated old Japanese home, you can make your very own pottery, such as a beer mug, mug, or yunomi teacup. The shop can handle up to around 40 participants at a time and is gaining attention as a tour destination for student field trips, company outings, and other travel groups.

駐車場が空いていなかったので、近くの市役所の駐車場に止めて歩きました。鳥取県は民芸の里ということで、趣のある器がいろんなところで見られます。この建物にも、たくさん展示してありました。今回は陶芸体験は見ているだけでしたが、次回は時間を取って体験したいと思います。

古民家を改装して赤瓦十一号館陶芸館として利用されている施設です。陶芸体験ができる施設です。三十分ぐらいでオリジナルな作品を完成することができ、後日、焼き上げた作品を自宅に送ってくれるそうです。旅の想い出に挑戦してみませんか。
かなり渋い建物

倉吉の白壁土蔵群の中にある一軒です。味噌蔵や醤油蔵を利用した施設が多い中、こちらは大正9年（1920年）に建てられた民家です。それを現在は陶芸館として利用されています。他の建物は修繕しきれいな白壁ですが、こちらの壁や瓦は傷みが目立ちかなり渋い建物になっています。陶芸体験ができるようですが、事前に電話で確認した方がよさそうです。
