This local Shiga cuisine restaurant has been in business for 130 years. The restaurant's dishes enable diners to savor the innate flavors of the ingredients used and are made with fish from Lake Biwa and seasonal foods. The restaurant's signature funazushi fermented carp sushi is made with just crucian carp, rice, and salt, and is fermented in traditional wooden buckets, resulting in sushi that is free from foul odors and off flavors, a fact the establishment takes great pride in. The restaurant's lunch menu is a collection of reasonably-priced Shiga delicacies, including the Sachi Gozen meal, an assortment of flavors from Lake Biwa; a hotpot meal made with delicious Omi beef; and Omi beef curry. For dinner, the restaurant primarily serves course meals, and diners can enjoy Shiga's local cuisine or, in winter, wild mallard cuisine.

- 琵琶湖のあたりの郷土料理を一通り少しずつ食べてみたいと相談したところ、6000円のコースをすすめられました。一品料理で頼むとそれなりの値段のするものが少しずつ食べられて満足です。ふなずしに挑戦してみたいという人にもおすすめです。

- 新鮮な鮒の子造りとニゴイの焼き霜造り、ほんもろこ、いさざ、若鮎、鮒の筒煮、家伝の鮒ずし、琵琶湖の天然うなぎ白焼きと湖魚を堪能しました。車だったのでいいセレクションのお酒と一緒に楽しむことができず、次回は電車で来るぞと思いました。

- 刺身料理を主に食べましたが、新鮮で脂もあって美味しかったです。盛り付けも綺麗で価格も安くて満足出来ました。
