Nagahama Municipal Takatsuki Library – Inoue Yasushi Memorial Room

Memorial Hall
"This memorial room located on the second floor of the Nagahama Municipal Takatsuki Library is dedicated to Yasushi Inoue. An author, Inoue famously loved the Buddhist statues found on the north side of Lake Biwa, even depicting National Treasure-designated eleven-faced statues of Kannon in his novel ""Hoshi to Matsuri"" and essay collection ""Utsukushiki mono to no deai."" Inoue's writings as well as his favorite bag, manuscripts written in his own hand, and photographs are displayed in the room; there is also information on Inoue's interactions with people living on the north side of Lake Biwa. In addition, there's a corner recreating Inoue's study, giving visitors the opportunity to see what it looked like when the author was alive."
