This storied izakaya (Japanese-style pub) has been in business for more than 50 years. It offers cuisine made with local ingredients from the Shonai region including local seafood such as littlemouth flounder and local vegetables such as Minda eggplant. Regional dishes such as Kodai no Sakamushi (sake-steamed small red snapper), Hatahata no Yuage (boiled sandfish), and Dongarajiru (pacific cod soup) are especially popular. The pub also has a full selection of local sakes that pair well with their food. Many customers choose to finish off a night of drinks with their Benkeimeshi, a large grilled rice ball wrapped in leafy greens, or their Mosojiru, a bamboo shoot soup made with sake lees.

昨年１１月に訪問し、今年４月再訪問しました。何と言ってもお目当ては、庄内の郷土料理と庄内言葉の美しい女将さんとの会話です。もともとが魚屋さんが起源だそうなので、豊富な日本海の魚貝類はハズレ無し！ユネスコ食文化創造都市に恥じないお店かと思いました。お値段も良心的ですし、相方はコース料理をお願いしてお腹いっぱいになりました。（コースには季節のお野菜やフルーツが付きます）そこそこ飲んで...

カウンターでゆっくり食事ができました。メニュー表に値段が書いてないので、お支払いがちょっと心配でしたが妥当な金額でお食事が出来ました。良いお店です。せっかくのお店なので、日本酒は醸造アルコールが入ってないお酒を取り揃えてほしいと連れが言ってました。

庄内観光時に訪問しました。いろいろいただきたかったので、料理はお任せで注文。突き出し、焼き魚、お刺身、煮魚、焼き物等々、いづれもおいしくいただきました。
