Odaira Tsubaki Pass Hiking Trails
This hiking trail is in the Ohira district of Yamagata City. It is located at the foot of Mt. Shirataka, and runs through an area filled with snow camellia. The prime season for the snow camellias, whose crimson blossoms accompany the melting of the snow from mid-April through early May. This is also the time of the Ohira Snow Camellia Festival.
