This wild plant garden is on the Nishizao Kogen Line in Kanno, Yamagata City. The park has about 1,000 varieties of wild plant and tree, and is divided into zones like the Flower Meadow, Nature Experience Zone, and Observation Zone. In addition to guided walking tours, they offer seasonal bird watching, firefly watching, and a variety of other nature activities and classes.

入場料をとるほどの施設ではないです

4月上旬に行きました。山形市中心部からは車で25分くらいですがバスでも行けるみたいでした。入場料は300円取られますが、駐車場は無料でしたが、肝心の公園内は野草なので特に色鮮やかな花もなく、地味な感じで桜もありませんでした。4月はオススメしないです。

山形駅からバスで30分程。西蔵王にある市立の植物園です。園内は中央広場を中心に植物ゾーンが設定されていて四季折々の植物をゆっくり散策しながら楽しめます。12月から3月は冬季休園です。休日は家族連れが多く駐車場が満車になるので時間に余裕がある場合は平日が良いようです（月曜日休園日）紅葉シーズンが楽しみです。入園料大人300円高校生以下無料も嬉しいです。バスは１日3本しかないので利用時には注意です。

12時過ぎに野草園に着きましたが、駐車場は満車でした。マルシェを開催していましたが、既に食べ物は売り切れてました。次は早目に行きたいです。
