Zao Jizoson

This Jizo statue is enshrined on Mt. Jizo, in the Zao Mountain Range. It's located about 100 meters from the Zao Ropeway Jizo Sancho Station building, on the Zao Ropeway line from Zao Onsen. It took over 30 years to make, and since its completion in 1775, it has been a center of faith and protection from disaster. It is called one of the Three Divinities of Zao, along with Zao Daikokuten and Zao Daigongen, also enshrined on the mountains of Zao.

山形といえば、蔵王温泉やスキー場ですよね、また行く月によれば樹氷というように神秘性の高い景色が拝めます今回、雪はない時期にいきまして、大丈夫だろうとなめてましたら、上にいくと雪がが大変残ってました笑さささむい。。。でもせっかく行ったので、拝みに行く前に、神様と温かいココアを飲んで、あっためてからいきましたが、５分で撃沈笑さむくて、走ってかえりましたとさ＾＾でも、景色もきれいでう...
肩ぐらいまで雪で埋もれていた「蔵王地蔵尊」でした。

肩ぐらいまで雪で埋もれていた「蔵王地蔵尊」でした。蔵王ロープウェイ「地蔵山頂駅」からちょっと歩いたところにありますよ。
少し吹雪いており、蔵王地蔵も雪で隠れ、樹氷モンスターも見れませんでした。

ホテルを出る時は晴れ間もあり、今日はラッキーかと思っていましたが、山頂は少し吹雪いていて樹氷モンスターも見れず、蔵王地蔵も雪を被って見づらかったです。雨男なのかなぁ〜
