Zao Central Highland

This highland area is in Zao, Yamagata City. Two ropeway systems leave from Zao Onsen, the Zao Central Ropeway, and Zao Sky Cable. There is also a well maintained hiking course which takes visitors through the rich natural scenery of forests, alpine plants, and Dokkonuma swamp.
