Teigetsusan Gatsuzoin Temple (Teigetsu Kannon)
This temple is located along Prefectural Route 308 in Niwazuki, Sakegawa Village, Mogami County. When Sasaki Sadatsuna became the lord of Sakenobe Castle, the main statue of the Kannon, Bodhisattva of Mercy was enshrined in the castle. It is the 33rd stop of the “Mogami 33 Kannon Pilgrimage,” and also acts as an end point for the “Dewa Hundred Kannons” along with Shonai and Okitama.
