Former residence of the Teshimas, a Tosa Domain samurai family. It is the only structure in the old castle town retaining the architectural style typical of samurai dwellings. It was restored and designated as a Kochi City Tangible Cultural Property in 1996, and opened to the public as the Samurai House Museum in November of the same year. In addition to visiting the residence, one large parlor and one small parlor in the main house are available for rent.

大川筋武家屋敷資料館は、土佐藩の武士、旧寺嶋家の住宅でした。典型的な書院造りの主家と長屋門を忠実に復元しており，細部の金具や瓦など必見です。今では、城下で当時の武家の建築様式を残している唯一の建造物となっています。

ここでは侍時代の物をそのまま見ることが出来るので外国人にはとっても人気があります。ツアーをする時はここにも連れて行っています。
ブシ・クラスの邸宅

トサ・クランのブシ・クラスの邸宅です。高知市はWW2の高知空襲により古い町並みがほとんど破壊されてしまったため、この様な武家屋敷は非常に貴重です。
