This ice cream shop is famous for its Roasted Eggplant Ice Cream, a local favorite. The treat has appeared in various media outlets and won the highest award at the Local Ice Cream Grand Prix. Kochi Prefecture is Japan's largest exporter of eggplants. Aki in particular produces huge quantities, and the thought of “delivering the taste of Kochi eggplant to as many people as possible” was the origin of their novel ice cream.
