Kagawa Prefecture Disaster Prevention Center

Experience Hall / Accommodation Experience (Training) Facility
This disaster prevention center is located along the Ikishima Bay. It was opened to promote prevention awareness and to improve the dissemination of prevention means and skills. On the first level at the disaster prevention corner, visitors can engage in three real disaster simulations. The storm and flood, earthquake, and fire disasters experiences, where one feels the actual shaking, and must flee in smoky conditions as well as put out fires. Although it is difficult to envision and conceptualize such conditions as a typhoon, or high wave damage, footage of such disasters, which have actually occurred in Kagawa, is shown, raising the visitor's awareness levels. The other well-equipped corner is the emergency rescue experience corner, where visitors learn about emergency rescue and first-aid measures.
