Saifukuji Temple

A temple in Hara, Tsuruga city. The temple is one of the famous Jodo sect temples founded by the monk Ryonyo and many of the temple buildings including the viewing hall, Amitabha hall, and writing room have been designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan. The vast 4,600 square meter writing room garden has been described as the Amitabha Pure Land on earth and is designated as one of Japan's Places of Scenic Beauty. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery especially during the fall season with the changing colors.
