Ikenami Shotaro is an author responsible for popular historical novels such as Onihei Hankacho, Kenkaku Shobai, and Shikake-nin Fujieda Baian, He often visited Inami as his home town with familiarity and attachment. The exhibits here offer documents, self-portraits, autographs, photographs, and more that demonstrate the depth of communication between Ikenami Shintaro and the people of Inami, as well as books by the author and items loved by him.

父方の祖父が井波出身とのことで、井波と縁のあった池波正太郎の記念館。八日町通りにあるよいとこ井波に併設されています。入館料は無料で、池波正太郎と井波の関わりなども展示されています。

ファンには楽しい博物館。瑞泉寺の周りの街道にあり便利。食堂や土産屋が入っている施設の中にあるのでついでの時によい。

八日町通りを散策していり途中に見つけ、入館しました。井波と池波正太郎との関わりに興味がありました。池波正太郎の父方の先祖は、天保の頃、越中・井波から江戸へ出た宮大工であったとのことで、池波は５８歳にして初めて井波を訪れ、それ以来「父祖の地」として親しみと愛着を持って度々訪れたそうです。書簡や絵画、訪れた時の写真などが展示されていました。
