This is one temple on the Hokuriku 33 Temple Pilgrimage. It is located in the woods of Seridan in Sendanno Vilage, famous as an ancient battlefield. The building was built in 703. It has continued to hold rites without cease for over 1,300 years, becoming a widely known center of faith and continuously gathering believers. The shrine has the unique aspect that it brings a wonderful encounter and crisis avoidance for good men and women seeking the ideal marriage.I

７０３年、高僧法道上人が中国より伝来された聖観世音菩薩をまつり創建されたと伝わる真言宗の寺院です。皇室の勅願所とされ栄えましたが、上杉軍の雑兵の放火で全焼しました。謙信公はこれを遺憾として自佩の名刀を奉納したとの伝承もあります。うっそうと茂る森の中、堂々たる風格をもつ山門、本堂です。

国道395号線沿いにある北陸観音霊場28番札所、駐車場は観光バスも止めれる程の大きなもの。北陸屈指の古刹、杉木立に立派な山門その中にはカラフルな仁王様がいらっしゃいます、石段を上ると1819年建立の観音堂、総けやき造り唐破風の堂々として雄大です。これだけでも十分見ごたえがあり、来て良かったと思えます。さらに観音堂から回廊を通ると途中に閻魔堂があります、彩色された閻魔大王と9体の王の像があり、薄暗い...
