Honmaru Chaya
This tea shop is located right next to Tsuruga Castle, the symbol of Aizu Wakamatsu. Located right in front of a rare moat sanki-bori in Japan, this restaurant serves soba and udon noodles, and sweet red bean soup. In the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy ramen noodles and rice bowls topped with pork cutlet and the special seasonal sauce. The restaurant is proud of its soba noodles, which are made fresh every morning. You can enjoy cherry blossom viewing in the spring, a break for a walk in the summer, moon viewing with sake in the fall, and viewing a snowy scene with sake in the winter. The restaurant's sauce pork cutlets, horsemeat and rice burgers with light sudachi citrus and miso are also popular.
