Seki Shikki
"This lacquerware shop has a history spanning more than 100 years. In addition to tableware such as bowls, chopsticks and multi-tiered food boxes, it also offers a wide variety of lacquerware such as stationery employing Makie lacquer ware techniques and accessories. Located just off National Route 121, the shop has an exhibition and business negotiation space where you can actually hold items in your hands while considering whether to purchase them. There are many unique items such as wooden cups celebrating new periods, ""hariko"" papier-mache daruma doll for success in an examination, and accessories that express the color of coral reefs in lacquerware."
