This restaurant is located on the grounds of Roadside Station Yunoka Shiobara. Located in a corner of the Agripal Shiobara farmers' market, the restaurant serves handmade soba noodles, udon noodles, and side dishes made with fresh vegetables straight from the farm. Its dishes, made with buckwheat and wheat flour from specially contracted farms, are simple and have an old-fashioned, home cooked flavor. The restaurant's handmade yuzu miso is particularly popular and goes perfectly with furofuki boiled daikon and oden hotpot. The makigari nabeyaki Udon noodles, a local specialty, are made with an abundance of local vegetables; only served on Saturdays, they are also limited to just 10 customers a day.

塩原温泉へ向かう国道400号沿いの農産物直売所、喫茶店・おみやげ店、農村レストラン、パン屋などがある充実した道の駅。平日の訪問でしたが大混雑してました。軽くつまむものを買うつもりが、おにぎりやパンが美味しそうでたくさん買っちゃいました。すぐ隣の田んぼアートもお勧めです。今回は東京オリンピック延長のメッセージの田んぼアートを見れました。

お昼時に利用。店内を見渡すと、食べている人が1割、テーブルで料理が来るのを待っている人が9割。つまり、流れがかなり悪いレストラン。着席後、忍耐とストレスを強要されます。蕎麦の味は悪くないのに、食べるまで散々待たされる、何とも困った場所。再訪する気になれませんでした。

塩原温泉への入り口に位置し、今回は、レストランではなく、産地直送の農産物の部門を利用。新鮮で、安く、種類も豊富。次回はレストランを利用してみたい。
