Shiroyama Park
The oldest city park in the prefecture, located just north of JR Sano Station, was established in 1889 on the ruins of Sano Castle, a 55-meter-high flat mountain castle, and attracts many visitors in spring for its cherry blossoms and azaleas, and in fall for its autumn leaves. Many events such as calligraphy exhibitions, tea ceremonies, and flower arrangement exhibitions are held here, making it a popular place for citizens to relax.
