"Located in 2-chome, Nakamaekawa-cho, Tokushima City, this complex consists of a museum of literature and a museum of calligraphy that exhibits works by writers and calligraphers associated with Tokushima, including Moraes and Toyohiko Kagawa, as well as works by such calligraphers as Leao Kanna and Ochiku Nakabayashi. The museum also has a ""Jakucho Setouchi Memorial Room"" that traces the life of Jakucho Setouchi, a writer from Tokushima."

立派な建物だったので、ちょっと覗いてみたのですが興味の薄い分野だったので興源寺の蜂須賀家のお墓群の方を先に見に行って戻ってきたら１７時閉館で間に合いませんでした。

母が書をしていて、亡き父が瀬戸内寂聴と近所の同じ年の幼馴染であったこともあり訪れました。徳島で生まれ育った私が、こんな洗練された施設ができるとは思っていませんでした。3階の瀬戸内寂聴の部屋、モラエスや賀川豊彦など徳島ゆかりの人物を知ることのできる素晴らしい施設です。

訪れたのが8月で夏休み中だったので、常設展示が無料で見ることができました。徳島出身の作家や書家、漫画家の作品が展示されています。特に瀬戸口寂聴について詳しく学べます。
