This shrine is located in the Kojima Yuga area of Kurashiki City. The main shrine of the 52 Yuga shrines in Japan, the yakuyoke no sohonzan (head temple of warding off evil) is also known as one of Japan’s three top incarnations of buddha. Yugasan Rendai-ji Temple was founded in 733 by Gyoki, is became the sacred mountain for the mixing of Buddhism and Shinto. There is the custom of visiting both Mt. Yuga and Kagawa’s Kotohiragu Shrine for high divine blessings.

岡山旅行中、どこ行こっかってなってたまたま見つけたこちらの神社。金比羅さんと両方お参りするといいとあったので、参詣。車で山道を登る途中、歩いて登る人もいて、なんで車で行かないのかなぁと思っていたら、上の駐車場はほぼ満車！こんな大きな神社とは思わず気軽に立ち寄ってしまったwすごい行列してる所があって見てみたら「岡山県下ここにしかない推命おみくじ」とあって、気になって並んでみる。こ...

長い石段を上がります。厄年相当数の石段を上がれば、厄除けとなるようで、元気が出ます。境内には狛犬などユニークなオブジェがあり、楽しめます。

長い長い階段と坂道の先にさらに階段が続いて、これで御本殿にたどり着くと本当に御利益がありそうです。こちらは権現様のお宮ですから、仏教寺院のような神社のような不思議な性格ですが、これは例えば東京の高尾山みたいな感じと思われれば良いかも知れません。
