This art museum is located in the Toyosawa area of Nagi Town, Katsuta County. Designed by architect Isozaki Arata with a huge work produced by Arakawa Shusaku + Madeline Gins, Okazaki Kazuo and Miyawaki Aiko, the museum is the combination of a piece of art and a building. There is a gallery space that holds temporary modern art exhibitions and a cafe inside. In addition, the Nagi Town Library is adjacent to the museum.

空気が澄み清々しく素晴らしいロケーションです。もし近くを通りかかったら、行ってみると何か発見があるかもしれません。それぞれの好みで感じ方は別れると思いますが、世界のアラカワの作品には一度触れておくべきです。静かで混んでいることなく、ゆっくり拝観することができます。

岡山の山間部の小さな町にこんなセンスのある美術館があるのはちょっと驚き。美術館自体も小さいが建物もセンスある。磯崎新氏、荒川修作氏などセンスある方々が関わっているだけあるな。
