Tamano Municipal Marine Museum and Shibukawa Marine Aquarium are located in Shibukawa 2-chome in the city of Tamano. The aquarium houses 2,000 individual marine life forms of 180 species from all over Japan, especially the Inland Sea, and the museum displays 1,000 specimens of shellfish, taxidermic specimens of fish, and models of ships. There are also outdoor exhibits of marine animals and maritime devices.

古めかしい水族館でしたが、地元の魚を展示することを重視している点では、評価できます。瀬戸内海の豊かな海の幸が実感できました。

大型連休、私は仕事だったので実家に預けた際に、ジジババが娘を連れて行ってくれました。2歳半の娘にはちょうどいい大きさの水族館。いっぱいお魚！っと大興奮だったよう。楽しい思い出になったようで、保育園が再開され先生にどこか行ったの？っとの質問に『お魚見た！』っと返答したようです♪娘もまだ無料だし、今度は家族で行こうかな？ちなみに65歳以上も無料らしく、ジジババも無料だったよう。
小さい、コンパクトすぎる

マリンホテルの隣のミニミニ水族館。冬か正月かは不明ですが、亀の餌やりとかは無い。コンパクト過ぎるので、この水族館だけだと30分程度で飽きてしまうかも。ホテル宿泊のついでに見るなら良いかもです。触れ合いは、ウニ、ヒトデ、ナマコはさわれます。
