Kaisen Seiromushi Katsuura

A seafood restaurant which serves up the delicacies of Nankikatsuura seiromushi style (steamed in a bamboo steamer). The restaurant is situated along the Oura Highway not far from Wakayama Port. Seiromushi cooking makes use of almost no seasoning and is served when the food is at its most delicious, thus it is cooked right in front of customers. Designed to harness the innate flavors of the foods used, seiromushi cooking is renowned for being delicious despite the lack of seasoning. The restaurant also serves southern Wakayama cuisine such as dishes made with tuna straight from Katsuura, Pacific saury sushi, and meharizushi rice balls wrapped in pickled mustard greens. In addition, the restaurant offers reasonably priced lunch items and has a children’s menu, making it a great dining destination for the whole family.

宴会で初めて利用させていただきました。飲み放題付きのコース料理でした。海鮮せいろ蒸しは、鯛が丸ごと一匹出て来て、どうやって食べるのかと思っていたところ、店員さんが取り分けてくれて安心しました。途中、マグロのカマ焼きも出て来て、料理にインパクトがあります。

お客さんの背中越しに、こちらを向く事なく瓶ビールをテーブルに置いていく店員の態度最低。食べ放題で時間がかかるから次々注文してください。と言われても…切って盛る刺身ですら、30分以上待ちも多く…それを注意しても謝罪なし…もう二度と行きたくない。食べたのだから、料理のお金は払うけど、本心は、サービス、人件費に対しては１円も払いたくなかった。返金してほしいくらい。最低の外食になった

大浦街道を南下し、県立商業高校向かいのオークワの敷地の中にあります。海鮮のせいろ蒸しが名物で、いろんな魚介の蒸し料理です。あっさりとしていておいしいです。
