Arida Mandarin Orange Museum

Reference/Local/Exhibition/Literature Museum
This museum showcases Arida Mandarin Oranges, a variety known throughout Japan. It's located about five minutes on foot from JR Minoshima Station on the fourth floor of the Arida Culture and Welfare Center. The Arida's history goes back to the Muromachi Period (1336–1573), and you can get a sense of its development through the ancient documents and other materials on display. Accessible illustrations and dioramas give visitors a clear picture of the mandarin growing process. Some of the museum has a fitting mandarin themed interior decor.

    久しぶりに訪ねたところ、展示が変わっていました。テレビと椅子が設置されており、リモコンで、興味のあるタイトルを選択すると、その映像が流れるようになっていました。
