"This park near Hidaka Port features a variety of power generation facilities. It's about three minutes on foot from the Nankai Bus Ojigawa stop, and about ten minutes by car from Gobo Station on the JR Kisei Main Line. It's the only facility in Wakayama Prefecture that's been selected as one of Japan's top 100 ""new energy"" projects. In addition to viewing outdoor hydroelectric and wind power generation facilities, you can try out a solar powered car on their track. Kids love this, and they have fun learning through energy themed quiz games at the facility's PR Hall, too. It also teaches about state-of-the-art energy technology."

無料の施設で、発電の仕組みを説明しています。小学生くらいまでは喜ぶかもしれませんが、それ以上になると物足りないかもしれません。

発電所近くの広い敷地のようなところにポツンとある施設で、メインとなる建物は喫茶店程度の大きさの丸い建物で、中にエネルギー関係の展示があります。展示自体は子供向きで悪くはないですが、いかんせん規模が小さく一瞬で見終わります。敷地内に風力・水力発電の実物やソーラーカーに乗って走れるコースがあり、子連れであれば３０分くらいは遊べると思いますが、それ以上は厳しいかと思いました。
