A museum located at the site of the Odani Castle Ruins, a National Historic Site, in Ibe Kohoku-cho, Nagahama City. The museum contains exhibits on the Azai clan, who ruled Omi during the Warring States period, as well as their castle, Odani Castle. The museum’s two exhibition rooms, dedicated to three generations of the Azai clan and Odani Castle, respectively, exhibit artefacts excavated from the site of the castle, portraits of relevant individuals, and materials on the structure of Odani Castle.

小谷城と浅井氏の歴史が分かる場所

日本百名城の一つである小谷城を訪問した際、夕方でお城に向かうのは時間が無かった為、こちらの資料館に足を運びました。小谷城が背後に控えている場所にあります。小谷城とその主だった浅井氏の歴史を丁寧に説明しているので、歴史好きの方にはオススメします。次回は、小谷城を歩いて廻った後、訪問してみたいと思います。

車のカーナビ設定で高速経由で簡単に到着できました。小谷城跡の入り口近くに設置されており駐車場も前に広くとってありました。道路からの案内もありました。浅井氏関係の資料と城、城跡のジオラマ展示があり、スタッフが詳しく解説してくれました。

駐車場無料歴史好きじゃないと少し退屈かもしれませんが、私は大丈夫でした。城跡近辺の地図を頂き、役立ちました。
