An art museum in Kannami-cho, Tagata County, Shizuoka Prefecture with pieces including a bronze statue of Bhaisajyaguru from the Heian period and a bronze statue of the Amitabha triad from the Kamakura period. The museum was established with the religious devotion of the locals and a desire to protect and maintain their cultural assets. The Amida Raigo Triad has been designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan while the seated Bhaisajyaguru and the standing Twelve Heavenly Generals have been designated Tangible Cultural Properties of Shizuoka Prefecture.

地域の里山で守られてきた、桑原薬師堂の仏様が、近代的な洗練された建物に所蔵されていました。平安時代の薬師如来、十二神将、鎌倉時代の阿弥陀如来と脇侍の観音菩薩、勢至菩薩、貴重な収蔵品が近くで見れます。ボランティアのガイドさんの説明は時間があれば是非。地域の方で、丁寧な説明には、仏様に対する愛が溢れていました。
