Nagoya Municipal Minato Disaster Prevention Center
An interactive educational facility located next to the Nagoya City Minato Ward Office in Komei, Minato Ward, Nagoya City. Visitors can learn about disasters and how to survive them via interactive exhibits such as an earthquake room through which visitors can experience a shindo seven earthquake (scale of an earthquake), a 3D movie depicting the approach of the intense tropical cyclone Typhoon Vera which struck Japan in 1959, and an example of a real firefighting helicopter which visitors can actually climb into.
