Himakajima Museum

A local museum located on the island of Himakajima in Aichi Prefecture. Visitors can view exhibits presenting the history of the island as well as model fishing boats, the oldest know fish hooks used to catch sharks in Japan, octopus pot traps, and other fishing tools. An observatory on the roof of the building provides a sweeping view of the island's beautiful scenery.
