This museum tells the history of Matsusaka City and is located about a 15-minute walk from Matsusaka Station. Housed in the former Iinan County Library that was built in 1912, the building was renovated to become the museum it is today. The building has been designated a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. Centered on the history of Matsusaka City, it has exhibits about Matsusaka merchants, Ise face powder and Matsusaka cotton that were mainly handled by Matsusaka merchants. On the first floor, there is a restoration exhibit of the store of a Matsusaka merchant using large imitation leather and tobacco container signboard.

2階に小津安二郎記念館があります

松阪城跡の中にある歴史民俗資料館。建物は明治45年1912年に建てられた旧飯南郡図書館で、国の登録有形文化財にも指定されている歴史的建築物。2階が松阪出身の映画監督、小津安二郎の記念館になっていて、小津ファンには見逃せないところです。
お城跡巡りの前後に手頃な資料館

松坂のお城跡にできた、郷土資料館です。松坂駅からは、歩いて十五分ほどです。小ぢんまりとした造りで、城跡や御城番屋敷巡りの前後に立ち寄るのに好適かと思います。松坂という土地柄、宣長先生や三井家発祥の地など、歴史的な材料には事欠きません。
商業都市から牛肉の街へ

松阪城址内にある資料館です。1912年に建てられた図書館を利用しており、建物自体にも美しさがあります。にエド・ショーグン・オーヴァーロード時代、商業都市として栄えた松阪についての展示と、企画展として松阪牛のブランド化までの展示がありました。入館料の80円以上の価値は十分にありました。
