Roadside Station Tsu Kawage
Roadside Station Tsu Kawage opened in 2016 in the town of Kawage, which is considered the gateway to the city of Tsu in Mie Prefecture. It sells a wide variety of carefully selected items, including a section that sells freshly caught fish from Kawage Harbor, Shiratsuka Harbor and Karasu Harbor, and vegetables grown by local farmers, and a section that sells souvenirs of Tsu and locally produced sake. The onsite restaurant, Tsu-no-mono Kitchen serves such specialties such as shirasu (whitefish) Toast, hampen (fish sausage loaf)set meal, and the Tsu-no-mono prix fixe meal, which gives customers a chance to enjoy the day's catch from Ise Bay. On weekdays, customers are offered all the freshly baked bread they can eat.
