Art Museum
Opened in 1991, the Kawaguchiko Museum of Art is an art museum at the base of Mt. Fuji housing mainly paintings, prints, and photographs depicting Mt. Fuji. It is famous for its Mt. Fuji Photo Award which began in 1999. Every year, there is a period when prize-winning pieces are displayed, drawing in many people.

    The exhibition was alaways very well selected from artists. Give enough spaces for the art pieces.Especially on Mt. Fuji picturesfron many different direction can be seen in this museum.

    This art collection of more views of Mt Fuji is impressive, and the building itself is a destination, with a nice cafe with stunning lake views. Well worth a stop when exploring Kawaguchi!
