Mino Kabuki Museum Aioiza
This theater is located on the grounds of the Hiyoshi Highland Club in the Hiyoshi-cho area of Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture. Passing down the traditions of local theatrical performances that have continued since the Edo period (1603-1868), including bunraku puppet theater performed by local farmers, kyogen farces and kabuki plays, even now they hold regular performances by the Mino Kabuki Preservation Society. Within the building that combined and restored two Meiji period (1868-1912) theaters, there are collections and exhibits of costumes, wigs and other props from the Edo period (1603-1868) to the Showa period (1926-1989). Reservations must be made in advance for admission.
