Roadside Station Mino-Shirakawa Piacere
Roadside Station Mino Shirakawa Piacere is located on National Route 41, which passes through the town of Shirakawa in Kamo County. At the orange-roofed “Piacere” Mino Shirakawa Furusato Kan, visitors can buy locally produced goods, such as Shirakawa tea, Shirakawa ham, folk art made from cocoons, and processed agricultural products. Another popular item is soft serve ice cream, made with Mino Shirakawa leaf tea and powdered matcha tea, available only at Piacere. The fourth Sunday of each month is “Customer Appreciation Day,” when Shirakawa tea and Shirakawa ham are sold at special low prices. Visitors to this roadside station can also enjoy a hot spring bathing facility for day use.
