Roadside Station Obaachan-Ichi Yamaoka is located in the city of Ena in Gifu Prefecture, and customers who go there are greeted with warm smiles and treated with such kindness that they will feel as if they have returned to their hometown. As its name, which means “Grandma's Market, implies fresh vegetables lovingly raised by older women are sold here, along with Hosokanten (agar gelatin) that the town of Yamaoka is famous for. Other attractions at this tourism spot include Japan's largest water wheel, 24 meters in diameter, the cozy restaurant Miharashi Chaya, the golden “Happiness Bell, which represents longings for encounters, marriage, and long life; and many seasonal events.

お目当てのランチの帰りに立ち寄りました。ここもランチが有名と知ったのは到着後。遠くから見ると観覧車にしか見えない巨大な水車がありましたし、景色も抜群です。山中にあるので休憩にはもってこいの場所です。
日本一の水車

観覧車かと見紛うような巨大な水車がある道の駅です。横にはダムがあり見下ろすように景色が楽しめます。道の駅としては規模は大きくなく野菜などは少なかったですが煮豆や巻き寿司等手作りの惣菜類が充実していました。

ドライブがてらに寄るには、とても景色も良いしのんびり出来る所。日本一の大きな水車は圧巻です。歩いて直ぐの所に小里川ダムも在るので、散歩しながらのダム見学岐阜・愛知の有名な甘辛の五平餅がクルミも効いててとても美味しいです。
