Takaoka Kojo Zoo

This zoo, which opened in April 1951, is located inside of Takaoka Kojo Park. Starting in 1978, the zoo built a new natural history museum and conducted extensive renovations of its animal enclosures and facilities as part of a three-year plan before reopening in April 1981. The zoo cares for and exhibits 135 individual animals belonging to 40 species with a focus on Japanese macaques, American miniature horses, flamingos, and Humboldt penguins. From April to November, the zoo also operates a petting zoo with rabbits and Guinea pigs.

高岡城址公園にある小さな動物園。すごい動物はいないが、小さな子供連れなら十分楽しめる。職員の手作りの動物の説明がかわいく、けっこう人気を呼んだとか。無料だけど、けっこう運営は厳しいのだろう。頑張ってね。

高岡古城公園の中にある小さい動物園です。なんと入場無料。小さいながらもペンギンやフラミンゴなどがいます。職員の方々の手作り感いっぱいの説明もほっこりします。
古城公園内にあるミニ動物園

入場料の無料の動物園です。ミニチュアホースやペンギンやフラミンゴなど小動物を中心に約４０種類の動物を飼育、展示しています。ライオンなどの猛獣や象などの大型動物はいませんが、十分に楽しめます。「ふれあい広場」ではうさぎやヒヨコなどの動物を触ることもできます。
