An art museum around a five-minute taxi ride from JR Nanao Station. Distinguished by its seven domed roofs, the museum displays a collection of numerous works connected to the northern Ishikawa Prefecture region. The Ikeda Collection, consisting of works collected by Nanao City businessman Fumio Ikeda, forms the core of the museum's collection. The museum holds regular exhibitions and visitors can see a variety of works of art, including Mino ware, Karatsu ware, and other types of pottery, as well as Japanese paintings, sculptures, crafts, and more. There's also a high-definition video mini-theater which continuously screens documentary videos on the works of Nanao-born painter Hasegawa Tohaku.

のんびりと美術鑑賞

大人の入館料350円。小さな美術館で相応。七尾出身の長谷川等伯の展示は常設ではなく、ビデオだけ鑑賞。少し残念。桃山時代を代表する焼物として、織部焼と唐津焼の展示をしていた。期間毎にテーマ変わるそう。和倉温泉の寄り道にのんびり鑑賞するのもあり。

七尾市小丸山台にあります、何せモニュメントが素晴らしかった七尾市県立の美術館があるとは知りませんでした展示品はどれも素晴らしいがやはり規模が小さく見栄えしなかった。

和倉温泉の近くに有る、小さな美術館。エントランスが洒落ている。長谷川等伯の出生地だが、等伯作品の収蔵品は、それほど多くなく、けれども数年前東京国立博物館からオリジナルを借りてきて、大規模な企画展をやるなど、善戦している。と、想う。絵画よりも、常設の工芸品の方が魅力的に感じた。
