Wa-Mi (Higashiyama Chaya District Restaurant)

Candy Store
"A Japanese-style sweets cafe located a two minute walk from the ""Hashiba-cho"" bus stop on the Hokuriku Railroad Bus. The cafe is located in a corner of the Agency for Cultural Affairs-designated Kanazawa City Higashiyama-higashi Traditional Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. The first floor is a shop which sells sweets made by Nakataya, a company famous for its kintsuba sweet beans wrapped in flour dough. The second floor is an old Japanese home-style cafe space. The restaurant's ""kimusuko"" projecting lattice windows and red carpet create an elegant atmosphere in which you can relax and savor original sweets. You can order kintsuba made with Noto Dainagon adzuki beans or Japanese-style Western sweets topped with adzuki and sweetened green beans along with a cup of matcha powdered green tea or other drink."
