Roadside Station Senmaida Pocket Park

A roadside station situated along National Route 249 in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. In addition to being a roadside station, the facility is also the site of a picturesque viewpoint, and from the observatory area, you can get a sweeping view of the Shiroyone Senmaida Rice Terraces, selected as one of the 100 most scenic rice terrace areas in Japan. The station was recently remodeled in 2013, increasing the number of cars it can accommodate in its parking area. The station's light meal corner offers a full menu of selections. Many of the items on offer here are also unique, such as soft serve ice cream, chewy taiyaki pastries made with glutinous rice, and onigiri rice balls made with rice from the Senmaida terraces.
