A museum dedicated to sharing the work and achievements of celebrated Kanazawa literary master Muro Saisei. The museum is built on the site of Muro's family home, and nearby you can find the Sai River, origin of the writer's name, as well as the Uhoin Temple where Muro spent much of his childhood. The museum has two floors. the first floor contains two standing exhibition rooms, while the second floor has an additional standing exhibition room as well as a special exhibition room. The museum displays artwork from the covers of Muro's books as well as original manuscripts written in Muro's own hand. There is a recitation corner on the second floor where you can listen to passages from the artist's books and many of his poems.

室生犀星は特に文学的には興味があるわけではありませんが、「ふるさとは遠きにありて思ふもの、、、」のしで有名な金沢を代表する文豪の一人です。その生家に立てられたきれいなビルが記念館ですが、本人は幼少期の頃にそばの雨宝院に養子に出されたそうです。

にし茶屋街から犀川を渡って数分、室生犀星の記念館です。犀星の足跡を紹介していますが、娘さんやお孫さんの、室生家を生活を描くエッセイが大変面白かったです。
