Kaga Mizuhiki Tsuda Mizuhiki Orikata
A specialty shop selling Kaga mizuhiki cord work, a rare local traditional craft. Originally used as an engagement gift in the Taisho period, Sokichi Tsuda turned it into a three dimensional art form. The shop carries a variety of mizuhiki goods, from dazzling pieces meant for engagement gifts to traditional cord work-decorated envelopes used to give money on special occasions. The shop also sells cords made from Japanese washi paper for use in creating your own cord work projects. Other items on offer include mizuhiki accessories, ring pillows, and interior decorations. With a reservation for a party of four or more people, you can also take a workshop on making your own mizuhiki craft.
